Case study
Big Boss Burger
A visual identity that has become part of the brand.

The challenge
Big Boss Burger wanted its restaurants to communicate a distinctive personality from the moment customers walked through the door. The brief called for an urban, contemporary and characterful identity without making the spaces feel overloaded. The challenge was to balance the energy of graffiti with a carefully designed environment that strengthened the overall customer experience.

My proposal
I presented a digital proposal with sketches outlining the concept, the distribution of the interventions and the visual language that would guide the entire project.

The process
The project began by completely transforming the venue. The white walls were painted black to create a stronger base and give each artistic intervention greater presence. From there, I developed a coherent identity through large-scale portraits, backgrounds inspired by urban culture, lettering and graphic details throughout the space. The façade and shutter completed the work, giving the interior and exterior the same visual language.

The result
The success of the first restaurant led Big Boss Burger to commission the same visual direction across all three of its venues. The murals are now part of the brand identity and have become some of the restaurants’ most recognisable elements. Customers ask about them, photograph them and share them online, turning the artwork into an active part of the experience.

Testimonial
“We wanted our restaurants to have their own visual identity and an experience that began as soon as customers walked through the door. Curro understood the idea from the first project, which is why he has been the artist behind all three Big Boss Burger locations.
The transformation was spectacular. Today, the murals are among the most recognisable elements of the restaurant: customers ask who created them, photograph them and associate them with our brand. The result exceeded our expectations and we would work with him again without hesitation.”
